Natibu stops Man Amigos; Island Rebels still in for finals

With Kent Kalen and JR Suel’s solo shot, Natibu put up the lead in the bottom of the first inning.

Starter, Ned Norita allowed the Man Amigos to have only two base hits in the top of the second to keep them scoreless.

Then, after Eric Lizama and Kalen’s single, Dustin Quitano fired a two-run double to keep Natibu strong in the bottom of the second.

Jerry Ayuyu and JJ Laniyo rocketed two-run home run apiece to lead the rally in the top of the third and the Man Amigos took the lead.

The Natibu sluggers had eight base hits as they also rallied in the bottom of the third to regain their lead. In this inning, Suel drove in run with a sacrifice fly, Norita knocked in an RBI single and Dave Kapileo had an RBI single.

Manny Sablan’s solo home run in the fourth became Man Amigos last run-scoring hit as Natibu’s catcher, Carl Hocog caught fly ball to end their hope to bounce back.

Island Rebels 12, UR Balls 7

Mitch Aaron launched a three-run home run and Jeff Isaac had a solo shot to help the Island Rebels rout the UR Balls and grip the chance to clinch the finals.

Down by three runs, Oscar Sablan fired a three-run home run in the sixth bottom of the sixth inning to tie the ball game.

The UR Balls were only able to score a run from Mike Taitano’s sacrifice fly as the Island Rebels cut them short in the top of the seventh inning.

Then, the Island Rebels rallied in the bottom of the seventh with Aaron and Isaac’s home runs, plus Toi Celis sacrifice fly to win the game.

Go for Broke 9, 6-Pack 6

Despite the three home runs from 6-Pack’s Mike Pangelinan, Go-for-Broke managed to outrun their opponents for their 9-6 victory.

Pangelinan’s two-run home run handed 6-Pack the lead in the bottom of the first inning.

Go for Broke fielded 6-Pack to hold them scoreless in the second, then, scored two runs to tie the ball game.

Pangelinan blasted his second home run driving in three runs this time to get the lead back in the third.

With five base hits including Branon Hocog’s two-run single, Go for Broke took the lead.

Go-for Broke scored two more runs in the fourth and added one more in the fifth widen the gap a bit.

After Pangelinan’s third home run for 6-Pack in the top of the sixth, Go for Broke pitcher Jonathan Pangelinan struck out Blas Magofna, and third baseman Kelvin Sanchez worked well with first baseman, George Cruz to throw Dan Repeki out and ended 6-Pack’s hope to recover.
