The tournament witnessed a remarkable turnout of dedicated golfers, whose participation and support have greatly contributed to the SCC’s scholarship initiatives. The tournament provided an opportunity for players to showcase their golf skills while contributing to a noble cause — providing educational opportunities for the youth of the CNMI.
“We are most especially thankful for the support of Franco Santos and Ben Babauta as the golf consultants of the tournament, our volunteers for the day that included high school students, college students, SCC members, and members of our community who took time out of their day to help with the success of our event. A special thanks to Laolao Bay Golf and Resort staff for all their accommodations in the coordination of our tournament and lastly to the SCC Board of Directors for their unwavering support, and especially to my team, Riley Buenaventura and Jaime Itibus as well as our PSS co-op students, Miracle Aldan, Jazabelle Sumor, and James Castro, who all devoted many after hours to coordinating the tournament and ensuring all our golfers and guests were taken care of. We look forward to another successful tournament next year,” said SCC Executive Director Kimm Camacho.
