NMC’s intramural games start Friday

The last half of the game proved to be brutal on Satbahi’s part after Coach Rufino demised perfect game plans carried out by the dynamic duo, Jack Lizama and Pete Iguel. Not once did the PROAs let their guard up afterwards.

The Northern Marianas College injunction with its physical fitness programs would like to proudly present its upcoming spring 2011 Intramurals Sports Challenge for the Men’s 5 vs. 5 Basketball tournament.

More than eight teams have signed up and followed through with the entrance regulations along with attending the mandatory meeting held last week Friday and they are now ready for another great season. So far, the Co-Ed volleyball tournament is still working out a few technical difficulties but word will be sent out whether or not the tournament will be ignited this semester.

The competition is set to kick off this coming Friday, February 11th, 2011 at the Northern Marianas College gymnasium. The first game will start as early as 9 am and at least two games will be scheduled every Friday.

One of the requirements for both tournaments was each team must have a staff, faculty, or student from NMC. A team can have as much as seven players registered under one captain.

All basketball competition will be held at the Northern Marianas College gymnasium. All students, faculty, and staff members along with the community are encouraged to come out and support the intramural competition, to cheer for their favorite team, and to enjoy a good game of basketball.
