OAA briefs technical officials for Oceania tournaments

Mullins emphasized to the technical officials endorsed by the Oceania’s local organizing committee that they are going to be impartial to anybody.

Twenty one member federations will be participating in the event she said “and it’s going to be terrific.”

“But what you’re going to see,” she tells the officials “are 300 athletes and we all want to make it easy for them as possible.”

Mullins briefed the technical officials the day after she arrived from Australia on Thursday last week, basically to tell them how things are going to happen in the weeklong event, and their responsibilities.

Part of technical officials responsibility, she explained is to make the athletes feel comfortable and help them come out with results.

Many of the technical officials however, are already known to Mullins as they have already helped in the Micronesian Games in 2006. Only a handful of them are getting on board for the first time.

The NMI technical officials are Kurt C. Barnes, Jessica Duenas, Xeria Sapong, Peni Sapong, Meng Rangamar, Liz Untalan, Rachel Rangamar, Robin Sapong, Doris Rangamar, Tom Tebuteb, Sylvan Rangamar, Camille Pua, Ke Moses, James Lee, Jr Nogis, Eddie Sinonou, Pete Untalan, Bobby Winkfield, Louie Wabol, Lei Rangamar, Greg Sablan, Brian Ichigara, Joe Mettao, Nick Castro, Joe Tumaquip, Kazuo Hosono, Keoni Hosono, Walter Mendez, Jerry Diaz, John Tagabuel, Nick Castro, Daniel Kintol, Myna Philip, Alex Olopai, Barry Wonnenberg, Vaughn Wonnenberg, Rep Ramon Tebuteb and Dr. Richard Brostrom.
