Ol’ Aces rout Cholos; 4 teams vie for UBA final slot

With Ol’ Aces now joining the Advance Xterminators in the top two slots, the UBA will continue actions tomorrow for the last- man-standing games in able for the vying teams to clinch the final berth.

With Joe Kapileo firing from the behind the three-point line twice and Raynard Aranda also hitting a three, the Cholos took the lead at the end of the first quarter.

Olaitiman poured out his scoring surge as he led the rally in the second quarter firing 11 markers including three bonus shots to help the Ol’ Aces go past the Cholos.

Dan Barcinas pulled it farther away scoring eight of his total points.

Gabriel White connected a three-point play and added four of his 17 points in this period, while Jose Tumaquip beat the buzzer with a three-pointer for Ol’ Aces’ 14-point advantage.

Barcinas kept the lead in the third firing six more successful shots and Omar completed a three-point opportunity from a foul on him to add four points and keep the gap wide open.

Olaitiman went on to rampage and hit eight more points in the final quarter while White hit two three-pointers and the Ol’Aces nailed the Cholos to 70 points.

The game between Noni Saipan and the Prospects that followed last night will determine which team will hit the third and four slots.

Whichever way it ends up the Hoopaholics and the Diamond Fixers will have a lot of works to do in order to survive the single elimination round.

Kapileo and Won led the Cholos with 17 points and 15 points respectively.

Aranda delivered 13 points while Bob Coldeen and Chris George added six points apiece.
