The NMA Open Track and Field Meet 2026 officially kicked off Thursday at the Oleai Sports Complex, marking the return of athletic competition to the venue for the first time since Super Typhoon Sinlaku struck the islands. Organized by Northern Marianas Athletics, the first day of the two-day event began at 5 p.m. and featured the multi-division long jump, masters 60m sprint, 800m and 100m dashes, shot put, and 5,000m run.
