The teams will just have one day to prepare and they will be in action immediately the following day, Sunday.
They will be playing against various teams from other Pacific Island.The match between Palau’s women’s division and Guam was set for September 30 at 8 p.m.Meanwhile men’s team will be playing against Australia at 1 p.m. while the women’s team will be playing versus PNG at 3 p.m. at the gym of the University of Guam on Sunday.On September 29, it will be Palau’s women’s team versus New Caledonia at 2 p.m.The men’s team will be playing against Fiji at 4 p.m.On September 30, the men’s team will play against Tahiti team at 2 p.m.Winners after three rounds will advance to the quarterfinals and move on to the semis and championship.Playing for men’s team are Feliciano Dembei Watanabe, Chris Chiba, Jose Meltel, Perry Oiterong, Ferris Baulechong, Anthony Rudimch, Xyrus Salii, Justine Sandei, Leon Mengloi and Arthur Kyota.Logan Ngiriou is the headcoach with Rayson King as team manager and Kazuki Sungino as head of delegation.Women’s team are Oreng Rosania Ngemaes, Wanda Isebong Kelulau, Symone Esichang Ubedei, Gail Klerang Williams, Jaime Kesoaol Mersai, Carmel Matelitei Hanser, Aquilla Masami, Tara Moiwai Tamakong, Jenna Ume Mersai, and Sweety Silmai Kalbesang.The team’s coach is Burton Wong with Radley Kazuma as team manager. The team will also have two referees with them in the delegation namely Jubilee Kuartei and Wallace Rikrik.
