Kelvin Fitial, Ray Bernardo and Syl Teregeyo set an early lead against short-handed Bank of Guam in the first quarter. After Fitial’s easy two points, Bernardo picked up the first foul and fired his second free throw.
Teregeyo went unstoppable as he put Bank of Guam in a second foul trouble and made his two penalty shots.
Andres Estolas also rampaged with two-figure points as he helped Docomo maintain the gap from the beginning all the way to the buzzer.
Cuki Alvarez who also saw action in the Inter-government & Business caging for the first time added points to protect their lead into their first victory.
In the first game, IT&E’s Edsell Mendoza and Elmer Esdrelon showed an aggressive start by blasting 11 and six points respectively in the first quarter, helping IT&E rout PSS, 23-5.
Mendoza went on rampaging, Esdrelon exploded from behind the arc and IT&E did not look back.
Ernie Fernandez helped pace IT&E with another six points in the third quarter and helped stretch the lead in the fourth with three consecutive two-pointers.
Bruce Berline made the most of out his height as he grabbed most of the offensive rebounds to help maintain the gap all the way to the final quarter.
Jomary Tumaquip’s quick hand and speed completed fast breaks and added eight points for IT&E.
