THE courts at the PIC 2025 Tennis Championships came alive on Saturday with fierce rallies, surprise upsets, and dominant performances in the doubles events.
Leading the list of winners were Siwoo Lee and Irin Chung who claimed the Doubles Mixed Open title.
In an electrifying final, they defeated the formidable duo of Anne Lee and Jyle Landicho in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4. The match featured aggressive net play, tactical baseline exchanges, and impressive teamwork. Siwoo Lee and Chung’s synergy and precision ultimately proved to be the winning formula against the veteran pair.
The road to the final was no easy feat, as Siwoo Lee and Chung had to overcome tough competition, including a semifinal face-off with Ho Wang and June Yoo. For their part Anne Lee and Landicho bested Jenna and Cody in a thrilling semifinal clash.
Claiming the 16U Girls Doubles title were Stella Choi and Vivian Chung.
They powered through the 16U Girls Doubles bracket with commanding performances, capped by a dominant win over Amy Park and Jenna Pascual in the finals, 6-1, 6-4.
Choi and Chung never let up, demonstrating strong court coverage and excellent communication.
Joining the podium finish were the 12U Boys Doubles champions, Isaiah Mook and Evan Zhang.
They delivered a flawless performance throughout the bracket, finishing with an emphatic 6-0, 6-2 win over Cooper and Jackson Fong Koning in the finals.
Mook and Zhang’s dominance was clear as they swept through the tournament without losing a single set.
As for the 16U Boys Doubles event, Daniel Kang and Matt Zhu vanquished Seung Woo and Cody Park to win the title, 6-4, 6-1.
