On June 6, 2010, Sunday six different races under the supervision of PSA and dubbed as the 2010 PPR – PSA Open Water Swim with various distances will be witnessed by spectators at the white sandy beaches of the prestigious world class Palau Pacific Resort.
The swimming competition will entail a 5km called the Ngermekedui Challenge which is race #1, while race #2 is a 3km distance in which registration begins around 8am as the race begins at exactly 9am. As for the other races, Race#3 1500m, race#4 1000m, race#5 500m, and the last race which is race#6 is a 250m long, registration starts 9:30am followed by the race proper at around 11am.
Then on June 7 and 8 PSA also begins their 2010 Summer Kick – Off Invitational where different strokes and distances will be competed at Meyuns swimming pool. These are the free, breast, back, fly, and individual medleys on a 25m, 50m, 100m, 200, and 400m races.
Different age groups and brackets l.ike 8 and under, 9 – 13, 14 – 18, Open competition, and Master’s (25 years old and over) are arranged for the afternoon race that will begin 5:30pm.
Pre – registration for both upcoming events will be accepted at PNOC, National Swimming pool at Meyuns, or at PPR front desk where entry fees are pegged at $5 payable on the beach June 6.
