BLACK 8 Puff Daddy moved up to the no. 2 spot in the Kingfisher C division of the 2024 SEDA Bud Light Dart League after defeating Tambayan Distorted C, 9-6, at the Black 8 Pool Bar on Friday.
The top seed, Puff Daddy’s Jun Pena, bagged the first win in the opening set of 301 Double In/Double Out games with a 21.50 PPD (points per dart), but this was quickly answered by Distorted C’s Naven “Nerf” Santos and Joseph “Jose Zero” Lizama, who claimed the next two games. Puff Daddy’s Michael Ayuyu then equalized with a win in game 4 for a 2-2 deadlock.
Puff Daddy excelled in teamwork as Tahannie Dela Torre and Johnson Cabrera, along with Pena and Graig Chargealaf, outshot their respective opponents in the Partners Crazy Cricket games, 2-0, and in the Partners 501 games, 2-0, to grasp the upper hand, 6-2.
Trailing behind, Distorted C attempted to close the distance in the one-on-one scene, but they could only split the Singles Regular Cricket and Partners Half-It games
Distorted C claimed the final Team 1101 game, but they were still three points shy and had to settle for defeat, 6-9.
Currently, Tambayan Punk Pank is no. 1 in the overall team standing with 249 wins and 156 losses followed by Black 8 Puff Daddy (219-186), Bistro High Breeder (216-189), Tambayan Distorted C (206-199), and Flamingo Tipsy Shooters (202-203).
