QQ all stars exhibition match starts June

“As part of our commitment to support our youth basketball programs here in the CNMI we will be holding a fund-raising exhibition game next month which coincides with our ‘QQ ALL-STARS Game’ dubbed as ‘QQ Cares’,” said league director Rey Perez in an email to the Marianas Variety.

“The league’s mission is to have a community outreach initiative which will address the important social issues which include: education, youth and family development, and the areas of health and wellness,” added Perez.

“The organizers, its teams, and players support a wide range of programs, partners and initiatives that strive to positively impact the youth. With this year’s beneficiaries going out to the Garapan U12 Basketball youths,” further explained Perez.

The league is now humbly asking for the support of the entire community to pledge $20 per interested team for the upcoming exhibition match. The entrance fee will cover some of the expenses of the match.

Other willing members of the community are humbly asked to donate in-kind prizes or cash. “We are planning to present this community outreach program next month at the Garapan court,” said Perez.
