QQ basketball league moves ahead

With this situation the league must keep rescheduling the games to meet the players’ convenience along with the table officials and active referees.

So far in the league, Docomo Pacific, and Ferrera Builders are the top contenders in QQ’s seeding with a record score of 2 wins and no losses.

Followed by IT&E winning 2 games and losing 1, followed by Pacific Grocers, Buroat, and Cellular Pro with a record score of an even break; 1 win and 1 lost.

Saimar Pilot and the Wings Travel are currently in third place winning one game each and losing two games, with the Westerners and Atalig Associates at the bottom of the totem pole early into the league.

The league is scheduled to commence every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with two games every night starting at 6PM and the second game starting at 8PM.

It is in the league officials’ discretion to commence one more game after 10PM should the situation or the circumstance calls for it, also, it is within the league’s discretion to schedule games on Saturday at the same venue.

To ensure basketball safety and avoid the games to be a physical bout for both teams, the league has come up a “Mini-Huddle” strategy before the start of the game and during the last 2 minutes of the 4th quarter.

The commissioner would like to remind all coaches and team captains in front of the table officials’ booth; the officials should not be bothered  unless it is absolutely necessary and within the sanction of the game to avoid interrupting the flow of the game and also to avoid accidental penalties or unwanted technical fouls for the teams.

Coaches must inform their players to avoid any holding, flopping, unnecessary second motion, and any illegitimate attempts during the game. It’s the responsibility of the coach to discipline them.

Any questions regarding the decisions and/or calls of the referees must go through the table officials with only the designated coach or team caption in order for the plea or complaint to be heard properly.
