Marlon Sison who engaged in a shooting showdown with Pacific’s Rolly Paraiso and handed QQ a slim lead in the first quarter blasted from behind the arc three times in the third quarter.
Louie Iglesias and Andy Mortos scored six and five points respectively to help Pacific Gold keep pace with QQ but Budz Camacho three-pointer moved QQ ahead by two points.
Both teams carried out a smothering defense in the third quarter, devouring most of the clock shots of each offense.
Sison’s pulse for long range came out just right on time as he basketed three-pointers three times to stretch QQ’s lead in the third quarter.
Meanwhile, Concepcion kept his scoring surge to pull QQ farther away and secured their victory.
Lynn’s BBQ 85, Rollers 80
Christian De Vero brought the lead back after connecting a three-point play for Lynn’s BBQ in the third quarter, then, sizzled with 10 of his 27 points leading to their strong victory over the Rollers.
De Vero hit an early three-pointer as he and Noel David combined 12 points in the first quarter while Edwin Santos added five of his 15 points to put up the lead.
With Savali Talalemoto pouring 12 of his 19 points, the Rollers rallied in the second quarter which they ended with a one-point advantage.
De Vero’s two-pointer plus a penalty shot, and Robert Naraja’s three triples helped Lynn’s regain the lead.
