Rangers dictated the tempo on game three of the best of three semi final match against Surangel.by putting up a harsh zone defense that resulted into ill advised field goal attempts and miscommunication among their opponent which in turn led to fast break opportunities for the Rangers team. And as the first quarter ended with a score of 31 – 16, Rangers showed no fatigue for the entire match as they continued their on slaught until the last minute of the final canto to finally switch off Surangel’s chance to come back on the match courtesy of most valuable player (MVP) candidate Jay Naguit who showed all his offensive repertoire in scoring 30 points, while supporting cast that composed of shooting guard Mike Guevarra, point guard Rey Hinosa, and power forward Ronald Mamuyac pitched in 13, 11, and 12 respectively, Rangers.
Regardless of another stellar performance from another MVP candidate Arnold Undecimo who dropped 41 points for Surangel in trying to cut back the lead of their opponent, Rangers was able to keep big man Eric Manio and speedy Deloy Pingot to play below usual performance to totally succumb at the final buzzer with a final tally of 94 – 80.
