The XTERRA Championship registration fee is at $130.00, the XTERRA Championship team registrations fee is at $160.00, the XTERRA Saipan Resort registration fee is $60.00, the XTERRA Saipan Sport Team registration fee is $100.00, the XTERRA Saipan University registration fee is at $100.00, the XTERRA Saipan Sunset Trail Run registration fee is $25.00, and last but not least, the XTERRA Tagaman Double Individual registration fee is at $216.00.
Transition will open at 5:00 a.m. Saturday morning to place gears and bicycles for the race. Athletes check in and numbering will take place at the finish line starting at 5:00 a.m.
Participants must have identification to take bike/gear out of the transition area. Participants must show their body marked number or run number or give it to a friend or family member to claim bikes for them if the participant is unavailable to pick it up themselves.
The 2011 XTERRA Championship is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and all participants must either be current license holders or purchase a one-day license which will cost $10.
Participants will not be given the participant packet without showing a current USA TRI license and picture ID or purchasing a one day license at registration.
The results will be posted on the notice board in the finish area as soon as they are available. Results will be posted on the XTERRA Planet website on race night. Personal results can be picked up at the finish line.
The organization would like to remind the participants and supporters to wear plenty of sunscreen. Hydration is not optional. Take plenty of fluids on the race course. Do not skimp because it is better to stop and take a drink than to suffer from dehydration and a trip to Saipan’s Commonwealth Health Center.
Local registration deadline is on March 11. 2011; no exemptions. With over 60 participants this year, with more than 15 representing Saipan, the organization is hoping that more competitors come out and join the 2011 Saipan XTERRA Championship.
The Pacific Islands Club will be the host headquarters for the 2011 XTERRA Saipan and Tagaman Championship competitions.
