Reusora’s hat trick keeps International FC on top of invitational football meet

A quick cross-pass from right field put Reusora at the three-foot distance left side of the goal for an easy left foot shot in the second minute of the first half.

MP United’s Joe Miller saw Tiger Lee as he ran from behind the last International FC defender where a space waiting wide open giving him the chance to goal right from the center, tying the score in the sixth minute.

Reusora and Peter Houk made three attempts but were foiled by MP United goal keeper in the proceeding minutes.

But that was until Reusora’s right foot shot that hit the post as he took the secondary pass from Masatoshi Otsuka in the 24th minute of the first half.

Reusora’s third goal came when the ball went off the goalie’s hands paving the way for a follow up kick in the 26th minute of the second half.

Chris Nelson’s received Jake Hess’ pass and had a break away from the left field to finish off the MP United, 4-1.

MP United’s Nick Swaim tried to maintain a tight defense but it earned him two yellow cards that put him out of the game.

Korea Juniors 4, Remington 0

Another hat trick made yesterday’s games exciting as Ko Brian fired four consecutive goals leading Korea Junior to a shut-out victory over Remington.

A pass from a team mate put Brian in a scoring stance in the second minute of the first half for an early lead.

Remington’s defense however prevented the following attempts but the Korea Juniors put in an equally tight defense to end the first half not allowing Remington to score.

Brian fired another goal in the third minute of the second half, and a team mate found him again wide open to goal his third within a minute.

Brian’s another goal from the left field punished Remington further, 28 seconds later.

A block to foil an attempt gave Michael Hall a yellow card.

Similarly, Korea Junior’s Henry Yang played aggressive which also earned him a yellow card.

Independent FC 5, Matansa 3

Jason Schroeder set the lead in the third minute and Jari Voutilainen added one in the 10th to give Independent FC the upper ground in the first half.

Matansa’s Ming Tamang narrowed the gap with his goal in the 28th minute.

The Independent FC prevented them from scoring more until the time ran out.

Schroeder scored his second goal in the 17th minute and Voutilainen fired two consecutive shots in the 14th and 34th minute to stretch the lead again.

Tamang scored in the 29th minute—a first try to tie the game and Kamrul added one in the 33rd minute but fell short of getting even.
