CNMI ace golfer and RGA officer, Jess I. Wabol, said the association said they were able to draw the support of several sponsors for the golf event, saying some prominent people have decided to sponsor certain Holes at the MCC green.
The Memorial Classic Golf Tournament is a charity event which aims to donate portions of the proceeds of the matches to Gregorio T. Camacho Elementary School.
It is said GTC needs the upgrade of its facilities needed by its students.
GTC has 225 estimated total student population.
Sponsors for the golf event include Kautz Class, Rep. Heinz S. Hofschneider, Tropics Garden, ben Jones & family, Advance Air conditioning, Torres brothers, Rep. Edward T. Wabols added that RGA is still trying to invite other people and companies to sponsor the tournament, as several other companies and people are showing interest for the event.
The 2008 RGA Memorial Classic Golf Tournament will be held on November 8, Saturday.
Showtime will be at 6:30 a.m.
Tee time will be at 7:30 a.m.
An entry fee of $100 is set for interested players.
Wabols pointed out that the tournament is open for other golfers who belong to other golf associations.
Awards banquet will follow immediately after the event.
