Staying on top as the SML playoff series begun two weeks ago and continuously interrupted by power outages, the Rock Steady kept its good standing as they deprived the D9ers last Monday, its bid to get the first playoff victory.
Second baseman, Dane Lizama had four RBIs and went 3-for-5 for Rock Steady. He drove in Tyrone Omar for an RBI in the bottom of the third inning and sent Omar home again, together with Eric Lizama in the bottom of the sixth.
In the bottom of the seventh, Dane Lizama who himself scored two runs sent Eric Lizama home again for another RBI.
Omar was also 3-for-5, scored two runs and drove in Manny Sablan and Oliver Secharmidal to score runs.
Tony Celis also went 3-for-5 and hit an RBI triple driving Dane Lizama home.
John Mafnas pitched seven strong innings through which he had four strike outs, gave up six hits and three runs.
Jonathan Camacho who took over the mound in the eighth inning gave up one run and had no strike out.
Greg Camacho went 3-for-4 and scored two runs for D9ers. He hit a go-ahead single and was one basehit shy away to a cycle hitting a double and a triple.
Meanwhile, the Game 3 between Rangers and Falcons was postponed yesterday due to the muddy diamond at the Francisco M. Palacios Baseball Field.
Falcons hanged on to dear life after beating Rangers, 12-10 during Game 2 on Friday last week.
