During the first game of the finals last Wednesday it was neck on neck game. There were only 6 minutes left in the game but the rain decided to postpone the game until last Friday to show case it with the Championship game.
In the first half however it went through unscathed by the rain. Rollers’ Brandon Aulerio bucketed 15 points all by himself. But Sonics was not daunted. They put Bryan Ajoste against the rollers star player bucketing 18 points towards Sonics’ over all score. To challenge that, Rollers put Patrick Torres, who bucketed 4 points, working hand in hand with teammate Savali Talalemotu who helped with 5 points of his own to stop Ajoste’s rampage. But Sonics did not back down rather, they used Melvin Cadiang who contributed 11 points of his own to tie the first half 38-38.
Unfortunately, with the sudden outburst of rain, the court was too slippery to play so the UBA officials decided to postpone the game to the coming Friday showcasing it with the Championship round.
As the second half was continued on Friday, Sonics started off with Bryan Ajoste and teammate John Paul Villanueva both on a winning rampage bucketing 7 points and 12 points in high hopes that this would be enough.
But Savali Talalemotu and Pat Torres from Rollers took both of them on just by shooting 16 points and 8 points to secure a 6 point lead over team Sonics.

During the second half of the game, Sonics’ Tristan Ecalnea scored 16 points in his heroic attempt to close the 10 point gap from earlier in the game. He could not do this alone, so teammate Jun Delrosario helped him out by contributing 6 points.
