Rollers post second win vs. Fundamentalists

The game started out quite languid between the two teams but after the quarter passed the five minute mark the Fundamentalists picked it up a heart beat to score for more points than the Rollers.

After several bold attempts, Ben Petersburg nailed a three pointer shot followed by Blair Fox’s rally of two pointers to put the Fundamentalist ahead of the game by 5 points, 17-12.

The game remained dormant quite contrary to the other games seen in the Docomo/UBA league. Together the Rollers seized part of the driver’s seat of the game away from their foes with an even score of 24 points all.

In contrast to the first half of the bout the second half was more vivacious and lively. The Rollers’ Manny Matagolai garnered 10 points throughout the third quarter. Teammate Dom Reyes contributed his four pence in to keep the Fundamentalists behind, 42-38.

It all came down to the last quarter of the game. Both teams entered the court ready to play some ball with one common goal in mind: dodge the upset of the game.

Sheen Metran, Dom Reyes, and Don Teregeyo each collared four a points to deposit into the Rollers’ side of the scoreboard. With less than 30 seconds left in the game the Fundamentalist faltered against the Rollers receiving the loss, 63-46.
