Rotary hoops teams given one week to fix faults

The Rotary games will not continue unless these things are met.

This was the ultimatum that Basketball Association of Northern Mariana Islands President and development officer Elias Rangamar gave the coaches during a meeting at the Gilbert C. Ada Gym conference room last Wednesday.

Almost all the coaches, Rangamar said attended the meeting and took note of all the concerns he raised.

BANMI put the Rotary league on hold and called for coaches meeting after noticing that a few of the participating teams haven’t fully complied with the requirements.

The league is already in the middle of the season but there are still players who play without proper uniform. Some of teams have not even completed the needed documents and entry fees.

“If by Friday next week, they complete all the requirements, then, we will move ahead,” Rangamar said.

Otherwise, the teams of any player who fails to turn in complete documents will face a consequence of losing the scheduled game via forfeit even they have complete number of boys to play.

The punctuality, Rangamar said was also reiterated.

The way each teams are handled in terms of the developing individual skills on basketball was also taken into account.

Rangamar said the coaching clinic that is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. yesterday said will address that.

Rules within the vicinity of the Ada gym like the anti-littering and no-betel nut policy was also brought up to be a part of the leagues rules and regulations.
