The Walk Against Sexual Violence registrations will start at 2:00 p.m. with the walk starting at 3:00 p.m. The first 200 registrants will get a free t-shirt.
Injunction with the Jamboree FIBA 33 will be hosting a three on three basketball competition. There will be three co-ed age group categories which are U16 U12 and the family division which will include two parents and a child or two kids and one parent.
This completion is open to everyone who would like to participate and will be on a first come first serve basis. The FIBA 33 Rules applies; a copy of the rules will be given out on April 30th at the Koblerville Basketball Court.
The Variety learned that the Basketball Association of the Northern Mariana Islands (BANMI) Referee Association will be calling the games as part of their community contribution. FIBA 33 is a Division of Youth Services Outreach Program event for this SAFE Jamboree.
In line with the three on three competition, the public is again invited to participate in the FIBA 33 basketball tournament. Each team must have a five person roster. Trophies will be awarded to the Champions, 1st Runner-up and 2nd runner-up for each division.
“We would like to see more participants for the Family division as well as the age groups,” said coordinator Abner Venus in an e-mail to Variety.
“We urge all participants to register ahead of time and to be on time for the games,” Venus added.
