Saipal clinches KQOD final berth

Banzai defeated Saipal in the opening game as Eric Tenorio connected a two-run single to tie the ball game, then Sid Sablan drove-in the only run in the fourth inning and Jonathan Tenorio fired a two RBI double in the fifth.

but the determination to finish off Saipal ended when third baseman Gloyd Martin nailed Banzai to a one-run first inning.

Then, Martin knocked-in a two-run single and JD Dikito had three RBIs with a triple paving the way for a revenge in the four-run second inning.

The ball slipped past Banzai third baseman Wally Emul in the fifth inning and Hector Efrain and Jason Hayes scored runs to complete Saipal’s vengeance.

In the game against Kulan Zamu, the Saipal sluggers did went scoreless in the straight six innings. Dikito and Martin both hit run-scoring singles in the seventh inning before Kulan Zamu’s Kyle Kaipat forced an extra inning.

Left Shiro and Efraim both singled and Hayes’ sacrifice fly moved them to scoring position then, Dikito sent them home on short stopper’s error to take the lead.

Efraim drove Vic Dukor in to finish off Kulan Zamu for their second victory.

With only the Advance Xterminators and second leg champion, Natibu left to face, Saipal was playing the final two games with certainty of having the final slot.

Against Natibu, Payton Sakuma sliced a run-scoring single, Martin duplicated it and Leo Bobai drove-in run with sacrifice bat in the three-run first inning.

Natibu did not score a run in three straight innings.

Left Shiro and Dikito both fired an RBI single in the third inning to stretch the lead then, Didi Tudela singled Martin and Lawrence Dikito scored her in with sacrifice fly to secure their win 7-5 victory.

In the game versus the Advance Xterminators, Payton Sakuma and Lawrence Dikito launched the rally in the third inning.

Jerry Ayuyu rocketed a two-run home run to help Advance Xterminators bounce back in the fifth.

Advance Xterminators defeated Saipal by one run as Roy Celis drove in two with his single in the final inning.
