Saipan International School claims cross country elementary title

Although SIS was not the first to cross the finish line, its runners’ consistency was the key to their securing several spots in the top 20 to win the team title.

Finn Altizer came in third among individual runners and was the first to put SIS on the board with a completion time of 00:07’07.

Altizer was followed by school-mate Elizabeth Culp in fifth place with a time of 00:08’03.

Saipan Community School’s Richard Zhoa (00:08’10), Jose Sablan (00:08’11), Patrick McDonald (00:08’12), and Emma Sablan (00:08’15) finished sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth.

But SIS’s Suki Peng (00:08’18), Landon Pudney (00:08’32), and Faith Arriola (00:08’36) took 10th, 11th and 12th places.

School-mate Windsor Gross came in at 14th place with a finish time of 00:08’42 to give SIS enough points to claim first overall in the team competition.

Saipan Community School fought hard but settled for second place as Alli Brasuell finished 13th with a time of 00:08’39 and Joshua McDonald was 19th clocking at 00:09’17.

Agape’s Joey Xia, Daniel Huang and Alice Duan made the list in 20th, 21st and 25th places to seal the deal for their school’s third place finish.

Brilliant Star School runners were the first to draw blood with Moshe Sikkel and Finn Altizer claiming first and second places with a time of 00:07’02 and 00:07’30.
