Against Team Lakay, Saipan Vegas found control early in the game thanks to the output of Bisana and Galarse. Galarse made his presence known from afar as he connected two consecutive triples while Bisana score 12 points to give his team a 22-13 spread.
In the second quarter Team Lakay started to pick up the pace. Williams led the comeback with 11 points while Romo supported with six to reduce the deficit. Capalad, Reyes, Maraig, Cabrera and Galulu also chipped in a bucket each.
Despite Team Lakay’s efforts, Saipan Vegas managed to maintain a safe distance in the third canto.
Bisana and Galarse picked up where they left off by putting up a combined 21 points. Williams tried to take matters into his own hands in hopes to bring Team Lakay back, but they could not stop Saipan Vegas which won, 98-81.

Gilas Batang shared the celebration after overpowering PPG Paint.
Gilas Batang excelled right from the start as Jugos, Poole and Tibayan delivered with each shot attempt for a 23-15 lead. It was not until the third quarter when PPG Paint’s players started to find their rhythm. Ebuen heated up from beyond the arc with four straight triples while Alano joined in with a few makes to reduce the gap. However, they acted a little too late as they could not stop Jugos’s three-pointers that were supported by the rest of his team to seal the deal for Gilas Batang, 78-69.
