The SRCR Radio Control club hosted a race last Saturday November 27th, 2010, at their As Lito course with two divisions, which are the 1/8 nitro Stadium Class division and Electric Short Course Class race in correspondence to the previous divisions which were the Stadium Truck division and the Stock short course truck deviating from October’s divisions which were the 1/8 nitro Truggy and 1/10 electric short course class, reigning over the competition. Most competitors would like to label this sport an “R/C hobby” or “Off Road hobby”.
The first division is the 1/8 Nitro Stadium Class. TOP QUALIFIER for the category and first place was bagged by Paul Salalila racing with a KYOSHO STRR followed by Rodney Catalla racing with a TEAM ASSOCIATED RC8T and last but not least came Rommel Isidro who conquered third place with a MUGEN MBX6T.
In the 1/10 ELECTRIC SHORT COURSE CLASS, with a sour taste of defeat in his mouth Jojo Saracho fiercely held on to the top qualifier seat followed by last month’s Top contender Rodney Catalla from the Stadium Truck category, whilst Paul Guerrero yanked and secure the third seat to close the top three contender’s list.
The SRCR Club would like to open their club to anyone interested in Race controlled cars and competitions, and that there is an active club here on island. The next race shall be posted up real soon so the committee members and officials would like for you to stay tuned.
