Salty Boys eliminate Jacks; Trubaks upset Lancheros

Bern Keleleman gave the Kagman Jacks the bad headache in the third inning by blasting a grand slam.

Short stop Ngiraikelau, first baseman, Darwin Masaharu and center field Steve Brel fielded the Kagman Jacks with considerable precision and held them scoreless during the entire game.

Percy Omechelang struck out one and allowed seven hits.

Omechelang hit a run-scoring home run to help Salty Boys establish a three-run first inning. Ngiraikelau drove in a run with his sacrifice fly. He drove in another run in the third inning on a fielder’s choice. He went 3-for-3.

Masaharu had two RBIs from his three singles. He went 3-for-3.

Trubak 5, Lancheros 4

Bill Aguon hit a solo home run and Ed Cabrera drove in a run with his single to set Lancheros lead in the third inning but Otes Olkeriil’s two-run single for the Trubaks tied the game.

Poland Yamada connected a run-scoring single and Roger Mai who also hit a single batted home to take the lead in the fifth inning.

The Trubaks did not score a run in the fifth but retained the upper ground for an upset game when Donald Crisostimo’s sacrifice fly in the seventh inning, fell short of one run tie the game.

Peleliu 7, Choll Aces 4

Poland Masaharu hit a solo home run and Funnes Densiro led the rally in the second with hit a two-run single to beat fourth placer, Choll Aces, 7-4.

Mabel Ngiragemelas drove in a run with his triple as Masaharu added another runs-scoring single in the fifth inning to set a wide gap.

Lucian George and Marvin led the rally by knocking in two-run doubles in the fifth inning.

However, they went scoreless in the two final innings and got eliminated.
