Charlie Sendin started the first leg with a quick pace making his way from the starting point at the Last Command Post to the dumping site, then to the Banzai Trail, Banzai Cliff and back to the Last Command Post to complete the 6km run.
Sendin was fast on foot, but just as fast on two wheels as he transitioned into the second leg on his bike and headed to Ayuyu Drive and FEBC, the Kamikaze Trail, the Autobahn Trail, Banzai Cliff and back to the Last Command Post. He then returned on foot to finish the 2.5km run along the pathway of the Last Command Post where he reached the finish line with a time of 1:16’10.

Taking second place was Shuji Kuroda who shadowed Sendin throughout the course. Kuroda clocked in at 1:20’15 and was followed by Michael Aparte in third place with a time of 01:22’55.
Completing the top five list were Butch Sublemente with a time of 1:23’02 to clinch 4th place and Tyce Mister who crossed the finish line with a time of 01:24’26.
In the women’s division, Ayano Braxton was way ahead of the competition. She excelled from foot to bike and completed the trail with a time of 1:30’30.
Kimiko McKagan was second with a time of 1:36’44 while Robyn Spaeth was third with a time of 1:42’40. Finishing fourth and fifth were Emily Brougham, 1:51’18, and Kerri Bauer, 2:00’46.
