SHERLYN Jones notched the March Ace of the Month title of the Amigos Golf Club at Laolao Bay Golf & Resort’s west course on Sunday.
In the qualifier round on March 3, Jones established dominance as she cleared the 18 holes with a gross of 82. Sporting a handicap of 13, her net score was 69.
In the ace round on Sunday, Jones continued to swing with confidence, clinching a gross score of 83, a net score of 70 and a total net score of 139.
Coming in second was her husband, Ben Jones Sr.
On day 1, he shot a gross of 85 which was shaved by a handicap of 15 to give him a net score of 70. On day 2, he earned a gross score of 88 for a net score of 73 and a net total score of 143.
In the optional play, the Par 3 winners were Nate Camacho on holes #4, #6 and #11; and Joe Tudela on hole #15.
The Amigos Golf Club’s April Ace of the Month Tournament will start with a qualifier round on April 7 followed by the Ace round on April 21 at Laolao Bay Golf & Resort.
