Ajoste and Leo Apelo led the Sonics in putting up the lead in the first quarter and Joel Javier stretched in the last few minutes of the first half.
The game went neck-to-neck in the third quarter as Ron Gamboa sizzled with 15 of his 21 points to help Viel’s bounce back. Lester Bautista however, made it hard for them as sank his second three-pointer at this period.
Joy Dayrit added four points in the third as Gamboa continue to rage on and Viel’s pulled away to hit the upper ground before the final quarter came.
Galarse blasted from outside the rainbow line while Ajoste and Apelo fired two markers apiece to bring the lead back and win the ball game.
NVM 62, Contractor 55
Paul Quizon basketed an early three-pointer to lead NVM to 62-55 win over Contractor.
Jun Ortiz and JR. Mina delivered in the first quarter to help NVM pound Contractor with eight-point lead.
Tako Camacho surged in the second period and kept the heat in the third while Mina sizzled with seven more points to keep the distance.
Aaron Agtarap came out to control the offense and Quizon sank a two-pointer followed by a pair of penalty shots to protect their lead and beat Contractor.
