Sparks defeat Oche’s 90-67

The Sparks’ superior offense was their key in keeping them ahead of the Oche’s. After scoring 25-15 in the first quarter, the Oche’s never stood a chance in catching up.

Leading scorer Inchitaro Faisao led the Sparks’ offensive throughout the game, piling a total of 21 points for his team.

Faisao wasn’t the only Spark’s player that gave his team the edge against the Oche’s. He was assisted by Eugene Manglonia and Sahi Hossain, who each shot for 16 points, along with Z achary Babauta who marked another 14 points.

While the Oche’s struggled for the ball in the fourth quarter, the Spark’s found more momentum to finish them off. Sparks’ Thomas Santos ended the game with a three pointer, giving the Spark’s a 23-point lead above the Oche’s.

Marianas Wireless 89, Marianas Resort 78

The Marianas Wireless overpowered the player-deprived Marianas Resorts in last Sunday’s basketball game, winning 89-78 at Ada Gym.

The Marianas Resorts could not help but to fight their way through the game with no substitutes, unlike the Marianas Wireless who had at least nine players active. The Marianas Resorts did not give up however, as they continued to push their way along side their opponents in the scoreboards.

The Marianas Wireless did not have room for mistakes – every point they made counted against the Marianas Resorts. It was in the fourth quarter that the Marianas Resorts began to stagger, giving the Wireless a chance to secure their victory.

Marianas Resort’s Arnold Crisostomo gave his opponents a run for the ball after he dominated the three-point line, making 21 points’ worth of three-pointers for the game.

The Wireless offered their own sets of three pointers during the second half, including shots from Wowie Abuel and Jhon Panteleon. Their opponents failed to catch up by the end of the match due to lack of time.
