The run will launch from the Salvation Army Headquarters located on Beach Road across from Hopwood Junior High School. The course continues along Beach Road with the turning point at the Koblerville Mobil Station.

A unique entry fee of only one-perishable food item per person is required. The race starts at 8 a.m.

Medals and prizes will go to the top three finishers in the male, female, and youth divisions.

Butch’s XTERRA fundraiser starts Sunday

In his efforts to compete in the XTERRA World Championships in Hawaii, triathlete Rennan “Butch” Sublemente will be hosting a fundraising race on Sunday, June 26 at Pau Pau Beach.

Registration starts at 5:30 a.m. and the race starts at 7 a.m.

There will be three categories. In the road bike category, participants will ride past the radar station, Suicide Cliff, Bird Island, the Grotto, and Banzai Cliff.

The mountain bike category will be split into two divisions – sport and open.

Registration is $10 per rider.

Chamolinian softball finals tonight

THE 2nd Annual Budweiser Chamolinian Softball League’s men and women’s championship games are all set for tonight at the Capital Hill Ball Field.

Teams Man Amigo and Natibu will face off at 6:30 p.m., with Sakudi and Check It Out playing at 7:30 p.m.

The league encourages all participating teams to attend its post-game banquet and awarding ceremony.
