There will be an entrance fee of $500 for each team interested to join this year’s BNMI Masters.

A $25 annual membership fee is also set for individuals.

Portions of the fees mentioned will be used for a future basketball clinic.

BANMI reminds caging individuals that the membership fee does not guarantee that they are already qualified for next year’s roster of basketball contingents to play in the 2009 World Basketball Masters in Sydney, Australia, but payment of fee will signify commitment to the CNMI Basketball Masters tournament sometime this month.

There will be a selection, still, of cagers to be sent to the World Basketball Masters after the conclusion of BANMI tournament this year.

BANMI reminds everyone to settle payments with Mike White, secretary of BANMI, on or before September 24.

Other sports enthusiasts in the area of volleyball, swimming, baseball are invited to register.

Budweiser King & Queen of the Diamonds

The Budweiser King & Queen of the Diamonds Softball Tournament is still accepting team applications.

There should be a maximum of 15 players for each team.

There will be a $150 registration fee.

Deadline for payment of fee is on September 11, Thursday.

The tournament is set on September 13 and 14 on Capital Hill Softball Field.

Teams that participated in the first and second leg of the tournament must participate in the third leg in order to qualify for the final championships.

Club at the Hyatt slates 13th Golf Classic

THE Club at the Hyatt announces its 13th Annual Club at the Hyatt Golf Classic on September 20 at the Lao Lao Bay Golf Resort.
The event takes on a 4-person scramble format with a double Peoria handicap system.
The format uses a best ball style of play where after each shot the team will decide which of their four balls they can play with.
Other activities have been lined up such as longest drives, blindfolded drives, and other golf challenges.
All types of golfers are encouraged to participate in the tournament. Interested persons may register individually or may register their own four-member team.
Application forms may be obtained from Club Elan, The Hyatt front desk, and Lao Lao Bay Golf Resort.

‘SAPTember Youth Volleyball’

The SAPTember Youth & Recreation Volleyball would like to announce its deadline for accepting registration and submission of waiver forms is on September 12, Friday.

Registration will not be complete until a team has submitted a fill-out registration form and each of its players have completed their waiver forms.

Teams do not have to be formed by schools.
