“Over the years, the NMC Foundation Open has built a loyal following of golfers who are dedicated to helping the College,” Babauta said, as he thanked the golfers for their continued support.
Babauta encouraged golfers who have not played in the Foundation Open before to join us this year.
“All funds raised will help our students meet their educational goals, so it’s win-win situation for everyone.”
Over $90,000 in possible prizes at Saturday’s NMC Foundation Golf Tournament will be given away.
The Showtime of the 7th Annual NMC Foundation Open golf tournament will start at 6 a.m. with a shotgun start at 7 a.m. in the west course of the Lao Lao Bay Golf & Resort in the west course.
The golf tournament is organized by the NMC Foundation, which is composed of community volunteers committed to elevating higher educational opportunities for CNMI students.
In all, there’s more than $90,000 worth of possible prizes which include round trip tickets to Cairns, Manila, or Palau on Continental Airlines.
Top winners of each flight will also win substantial cash prizes: $500 for first place, $300 for second place, and $200 for third place. Hole-in-one prizes include $25,000 cash and a 2010 Mazda 3. There are also many raffle prizes like a complimentary rooms at hotels, restaurant gift certificates, rounds of golf, and other prizes.
The entrance fee for the tournament is only $85 per player.
Babauta said that interested players are invited to bring their family, friends and playing partners for a fantastic day of fun and fundraising for a good cause.
