Team Track’s Chad Lowe, Aric Bickel, Kimiko McKagan, Richard Sikkel, and Tom Linden completed the race in two hours, two minutes, and 35 seconds, beating last year’s record (1:29:10).
Jack Kabiriel, a member of last year’s winning team, followed in second place with 1:32:36. Joining him were Jackson Soichy, Kimo Faremy, Jimris Andrew, and Kevin Kabiriel.
Santa’s Slaves’ Beouch Ngirongchor, Lia Rangamar, Tanner Kenty, Reylynn Sapong, and Mike Mancao came in third overall at 1:33:56 while teams Manic Racing (1:36:55) and Hyatt (1:39:14) reached the top five.
Santa’s Slaves didn’t leave empty handed as they topped the youth category this weekend.
Danny Garcia arrived in one hour and 50 minutes to win in the solo category. Fred Camacho — also a solo runner — finished 50 seconds later.
The race featured a 13.7 mile course stretching from San Antonio to the Last Command Post in Marpi. Runners alternated every mile and completed 13 checkpoints before ending the course.
Other competing groups were: Nice Guys (1:39:23), Coconut Runners (1:40:22), Our Team (1:41:24), Hopwood (1:43:23), Safety 1st (1:44:20), Santa’s Elves (1:44:30), The Dark Horse (1:45:00), Team Pacific Islands Club (1:46:45), I Love My Dentist (1:49:50), Tammy’s Team (1:51:06), Team Tasi and PMT (1:52:06), Yard-O-Beef (1:52:53), Vicky’s Roses (1:55:34), Shades and Glasses (1:58:55), Road Runners (2:00:16), Spito (2:02:35), Free Runners (2:08:21), and Oh Yeah (2:23:40).
