TON Tomokane and Ray Salas rounded out the Saipan Golf Association’s list of monthly winners for the 2024 season as the November and December aces.
Tomokane clinched the November title on Nov. 17 at the east course of Laolao Bay Golf & Resort.
As soon as Tomokane found the rhythm to his swing, he never looked back. He cleared the front nine with a gross of 43 and improved his score on the back nine with a gross of 39 for a gross total of 82. Sporting a handicap of 14, Tomokane secured the title with a net score of 68.
Salas locked in his seat as the December ace on Dec. 8.
He battled through tough competition but managed to keep up with the best of them, shooting a gross of 45 on the front and 47 on the back for a gross total of 92. With a handicap of 20, he moved to the front of the line with a net score of 72.
SGA’s other 2024 ace of the month tournament winners are Larry Deleon Guerrero (January), Alex Tudela (February), Nick Sablan (March), Das Krishnan (April), Joe I. Sablan (May), Freddie Cataluna (June), Jung Eun Teack (July), Patrick Cepeda (August), Rene Batallones (September), and Rick Kautz (October).
The November Closest to the Pin winners were Rick Kautz for hole #4 and Alex Tudela for holes #6, #11, and #15.
The November Longest Drive winners were Freddie Cataluna for hole #3 and Das Krishnan for hole #18.
The December Closest to the Pin winners were Rick Kautz for hole #4, Ton Tomokane for hole #6, Larry Deleon Guerrero for hole #11, and Patrick Cepeda for hole #15.
The December Longest Drive winners were Joe I. Sablan for hole #3 and Alex Tudela for hole #18.
