Traders Insurance general manager, Mike S. Licop gave the check to NMBF president, Marconi Calindas and other badminton group officers at the firm’s office in Oleai.
Eight teams with eight players each, will compete in the tournament which will open this Saturday at 6 p.m., at the Gilbert C. Ada Gym.
Licop said this is the third time Traders Insurance has sponsored a sports event.
He said the firm’s president, Pablo B. Mendoza who is a badminton aficionado himself, wants to assist Calindas’ group in promoting physical fitness and sportsmanship among the island’s residents regardless of nationality, race or ethnicity.
