During the last All Schools Swim meet the Tsunami Swim Club displayed a white banner near the entrance of the Kan Pacific Pool to be signed by anyone interested in sharing a few words of wisdom to the survivors of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
There was also a fundraiser in place during the meet to help raise funds for those same survivors. The Tsunami Swim Club’s head coach Hiroyuki Kimura was amazed and honored by all of the support they received last April 17.
In their efforts to raise more money for the Japan Relief money drive the Tsunami Swim Club will be hosting a car wash this Sunday. The proceeds will help them fund their trip to the upcoming Guam Championships competition on May 27-28.
The Tsunami Swim Club is eyeing to send 15 competitors to the competition and is encouraging the community to come out and support their car wash this weekend.
