ELMER Esdrelon, Jorge De Guzman, and brothers Ramil and Dane Tibayan surged in the final half to help Velleza zoom past Beto in a Destroyers Basketball Club Friendly Game at the Tan Siu Lin Sports Center in Gualo Rai on Tuesday.

Beto’s triggermen, Jhomer Espinueva and Ricardo Guinoo, gave their team a three-point lead in the first half, 36-33. Espinueva blasted a three-pointer toward the end of the first half while Guinoo dominated inside.

But in the second half, Velleza’s Esdrelon went on a long-range shooting spree, posting three three-pointers while De Guzman, Totong Caraig, Dane Tibayan and Edmundo Basi contributed two-pointers to keep their team’s hopes alive.

De Guzman and Esdrelon continued to score while Ramil Tibayan chipped in two free throws to seal the deal for Velleza, 82-75.

In the second game, Vision’s Alex Robles and Dindo Pablo bombarded Solid Lakay with four three-point shots to lead 46-35 at the end of the first quarter.

Arnold Sangoyo, who led Vision early in the game, contributed six of his 18 points to keep his team in the game before halftime.

Jaime Antonio started the second half with a three-pointer and was unstoppable inside while Neil Ibe, who led Solid Lakay’s first half game with 10 points, heated up even more in the second half.

Rodjay Macaraeg, for his part, scored eight of his 12 points to help Solid Lakay stretch the lead en route to victory, 83-79.
