VIZION Insurance won the championship of the inaugural Destroyers Friendly Games League 2024 after outplaying Bio-Pro, 107-90, at the TSL Sports Complex on Sunday.
The highly anticipated title game featured a thrilling matchup with both teams filling the first half with countless lead exchanges.
The first few minutes had Bio-Pro showcasing teamwork. Omar Ajoste orchestrated the assault from the point as his vision and unselfishness led to several assists to Mark Matuguina, Ryan Bayna and Bryan Natividad.

Vizion Insurance, for their part, mostly relied on the skills of one man, Robles Ales. With the height of a center and the shooting skills of a guard, Ales was a constant threat as he led the offensive assault with 24 points, including three tripes.
Although Ales could not be stopped, Bio-Pro valiantly fought back with Bryan Natividad delivering a couple of triples while Alex Ocampo added extra firepower within the perimeter to close the distance, 44-46.
In the second half, Vizion Insurance stepped up their game, particularly on the defensive end with a handful of blocks and forced turnovers, limiting Bio-Pro’s scoring opportunities.

Vizion Insurance’s other key players such as Dindo Pablo, Arnold Sangoyo and Vinz Rodriguez contributed significantly to their team’s output.
Bio-Pro struggled to keep up with the pace set by Vizion Insurance. Despite efforts from players like Sonny Ebuen and Patrick Morales, Bio-Pro failed to bridge the gap as they faced strong defense.
Bio-Pro then turned to man-to-man defense and closed the distance, but their missed shots and untimely errors allowed Vizion Insurance to eventually secure the win and the championship, 107-90.
In the battle for third place, Elite Force bested Lamesa Kusina, 91-79, while in the battle for fifth place, NAPA outlasted Yabangis, 84-77.
