Adonis Macoto and Nate Mateo got their much needed boost and scored a combined 17 points in the first half to lead Wings Travel, 41-21.
They however, weren’t the only ones who triumphed with double digit scores.
Noel Delos Santos, Cisco Cruz, and Michael Saturno thrived on open baskets to tally 12 points apiece, in addition to nine from Ed Yalung and six from Mike Cruz.
Inchcape lost possession as Mateo found his opening for a clean steal between Teddy Bugay and Marvin Marchadesch. Leading scorer Gilbert Miranda posted 11 of his 21 points in the final quarter but it was too late.
Desperate for a win, team Inchcape slowed the match with several fouls on Macoto and Delos Santos. Lawrence Buniag fouled Macoto for his fifth personal foul, leaving Inchcape’s offensive to Miranda and Bugay.
Wings Travel scored 22 points in the third quarter and capped off with 12 more. With three minutes left on the clock, Mateo blasted a layup and Mike Cruz followed suit on a jumper.
Inchcape narrowed the gap to 10 points but slipped again, losing their chance to recover. Mac Castro garnered 10 points before the final buzzer.
Wings Travel, which lost a recent game to team MBI, now has three wins and two losses.
