WILLIAM S. Reyes, Kagman, and Koblerville elementary schools are the current leaders in the co-ed elementary school division of the IT&E Interscholastic Basketball League SY23-24 after bagging separate wins Monday at the Marianas High School gym.

WSR 1 collected their third straight victory by dismantling Brilliant Star School, 34-4.

WSR 1 were unmatched in skill as they blanked BSS in the opening half. Each WSR 1 player had their chance in the spotlight with Karl Borja carrying six points while Hayven Moteissou and Salman Kamal  delivered a pair of buckets to give their team a more than comfortable lead, 20-0.

Despite a rough start, BSS did not wave the white flag and continued to fight throughout the second half of the game. After several attempts, Brayden Brennfleck’s efforts were finally rewarded as he scored the first two points of his team.

WSR 1, for their part, continued to deliver on their end with Elijah Lizama and Kayson Fitial finishing strong with four points each as they led their team to victory, 34-4.

KAG 1 vs WSR 2

Kagman Elementary School 1,  the other team that remains unscathed, clinched their second win by trouncing WSR 2, 35-6.

KAG 1 did not allow their opponent to score during the first half and barely broke a sweat as Conan Iakopo, Brenaiah Murphy, and Mekean Iguel did most of the leg work to carry their team to an easy victory.

KOB 2 victories

Koblerville Elementary School 2 won back-to-back games on the same day.

KOB 2 earned their first win with finesse by manhandling Saipan International School, 24-8. They then faced a tough team, Garapan Elementary School 1, but KOB 2 still came out on top, 16-8.
