Xterminators beat G-Ballers to keep climbing

The Xterminators took the lead in the bottom of the first inning with Dennis Ngeskebei and Poland Masaharu firing run-scoring double.

Ron Benavente and Angel Reyes delivered an RBI single apiece to set the two-run cushion before the G-Ballers’ defenders threw out three Xterminators batters, in a row.

Starter Paul Salalila struck out Sonny Sablan, first baseman Julian Salalila caught John Cepeda’s grounder and right fielder Jude Dickenson caught Shawn Guerreros’ fly ball.

JJ Cabrera and Ngeskebei knocked in run-scoring single apiece in the bottom of the second inning before Poland Masaharu rocketed a three-run home run and the Xterminators widened the lead.

With Ray Terlaje and Gary Pangelinan hitting an RBI single apiece, the G-Ballers shaved the deficit to six in the top of the third, and held the Xterminators run less in two straight innings.

The Xterminators had them pay back in the fourth and fifth then, blasted them out with three base hits—run-scoring single from Sablan and Cepeda and two-run single from Guerrero.

Berdax 17, Blazers 14

Ben Camacho drove in three with a homer while Jack Guerrero and Jesse Tenorio hit a solo home run apiece to help Berdax beat the Blazers and hang on.

Camacho’s three-run HR and Guerrero’s solo homer put up the lead in two straight innings but with Rodney Lifoifou’s RBI single and JP Flores’ two-run triple, the Blazers rallied in the bottom of the second to snatch the lead.

Berdax too it back as Tenorio lauched a solo homer while Ben Camacho and Frank Roberts knocking in run-scoring double apiece.

Jack Diaz added an RBI single and Berdax is back on the upper ground.

Diaz drove in two runs with single in the sixth, Tenorio fired a two-run triple in the seventh and Camacho added his third run-scoring base hit to finish off the Blazers.

Team Famila 25, Team Fuegu 17

Team Familia clobbered Team Fuegu with 26 base hits including run-scoring home runs from Kolin Reyes and Jun Alepuyo to post second win.

Floyd Dela Cruz and Jay Camacho had run-scoring double apiece and with still no batters retiring, Reyes launched his three-run home run. Alepuyo followed suit with a two-run home run and Team Familia went strong in the second inning.

The lead became almost insurmountable in the third as Yubert Alepuyo rocketed a two-run double and Chris Alepuyo had an RBI single. Camacho and Yubert knocked-in an RBI single again in the fourth.

Team Fuegu rallied in the bottom of the fifth with John Iguel hitting a two-run double, Joey Palacios a run-scoring single and Marsan Siten an RBI double to help Team Fuegu close in.

Floyd Dela Cruz fired an RBI triple, Camacho and Marc Cepeda added an RBI single apiece and Team Familia pulled away again and never looked back.
