Yong Man started out in the front nine with one stroke under par 35 as he completed the first half of the course with two birdies.
He closed the back nine at par shooting 36 with two more birdies, finishing 1-under par 71.
He also won the front and back closest to the pin to bring home an additional $50. The two-handicapper shot a net of 74 during the November qualifier last month.
Yong Man is now included in the Club Ace Championship scheduled for Dec. 18.
He defeated the rest of the RGA competitors, which included Joe Saures (70), Cue Xian Lai (71), Dwain Stephens (72), Tony Satur (73), Manny Mangarero (73), Apo Piao (75), Tars Olopai (77), Joe Wabol (78), Ray Tigilau (81), Tony Rogolifoi (80), Tom Tebuteb (80), and Asterio Tawanpiy (82).
Bae will compete for the Ace of the Year with the 10 other Ace winners, who consist of Jun “Young Gun”Yi Paio (January), Joe “The Enforcer” Saures (February), Nick “Nasty” Leon Guerrero (March), Carl “Under dog” Hocog (April), Xian Lai “Champion” Cue (May), Jesse “Blaster” Seman (June), Tars “Buster” Olopai (July), Jess “ Unorthodox” Wabol (August), Ray Tigilau (September), and Tony Satur (October).
The net to beat for the December Ace tournament is 71, which was established by Jordon Kosam during the qualifying round at Laolao Bay.
The 12-handicapper started out slow in the front nine shooting 44. He improved in the back coming in at 39, grossing 83.
Kosam is close to being a part of the RGA’s Ace of Aces if his score holds up at the December Ace tournament, which starts on Saturday, Nov. 13 at Coral Ocean Point Golf Course. Check in time is 11 a.m. and tee-off is at 12 p.m.
The RGA reminds all players to take the opportunity, especially with only one more available with the monthly aces.
The Club Championship will feature the Annual Plasido M. Tagabuel Club Ace of Aces Championship trophy, Annual Sid K. Peter Low Net Champion, and the Tony
Taitano most RGA rounds played in 2010. Venue and details for the Club Championship will be announced later.
