Zapanta, Soll top June King & Queen of the Lanes

Younger Raphael won the April crown and in last Monday’s roll-off, it was Ruselle’s turn to get the title, with Raymond taking the second place.

Ruselle trailed Raphael in Games 1 and 2 with 215 and 203 as his most pin falls, against the 246 pins that the younger Zapanta struck on Sunday and 223 pin falls on Monday.

But Ruselle came back for Game 3 last Monday knocking down 235 pins and went close behind Simon Manacop for Game 4 eking out 210 pin falls to tally with a total of 863 pin falls.

Winning the second place was Raymond who kept himself in the top five positions through out the four sets in two days.

He was half way to be next to Raphael in Game 1, improved in Games 2 and 3 with 198 and 213 pin falls respectively.

Despite lagging behind in Game 4 striking only 158 pin falls, Raymond totaled 762 pin falls for the second place.

Settling for the third place was Raymond Angeles who also managed to stay close to the top and had a total 756 pin falls.

Raphael who topped Game 1 with 246 pin falls came fourth as he tallied a total of 755 pin falls.

Manacop trailed him, with 752 pin falls.

In the Queen of the Lanes tournament, Elena Soll played strong in Games 1, 2 and 3 to secure the biggest number of pin falls.

She knocked down 217 pin falls for Game 1 on Monday, had 179 pin falls for Game 2 and 184 in Game 3, all besting 15 other female golfers. She fell behind in Game 4 earning only 153 pin falls but had invested enough to finish with 733 pin falls to win the June Queen of the Lanes title.

Winning the second place was Yho Villavicencio who was also able to stay close in Game 1 (187 pin falls) and Game 3 (178 pin falls).  She finished with 690 pin falls.

Settling for the third was Ron Call as she knocked down 667 pin falls.

Also making it to the top five were Gloria Omechelang who had 630 pin falls and Carol McKenzie, 626 pin falls.
