Zapanta wears 6th crown; Chong, Talavera top SBA King& Queen

Also on the same day, Robert Talavera and Diane Chong topped their respective divisions in the Budweiser King & Queen of the Lanes.

Zapanta had a total of 692 pin falls to earn an average of 173 percent and brought home $15 and Waioka gift basket. He was eight pin falls behind Marion McKenzie in Game 1 but bounced back in Game 2 scoring 160 pin falls.

The January to May 2009 bowling prince pulled away in Game 3, leaving behind McKenzie, Leeanne Yarobwemal and Troy Verdaguer by 47 pin falls gap and did not look back as continue to lead in Game 4 garnering 165 pin falls.

Placing second, McKenzie topped the first game with 177 pin falls to finish with a total of 608 pin falls.

In the Budweiser King&Queen of the Lane, Talavera bested four other bowlers with a total of 902 pin falls. He was way behind Raymond Angeles in Game 1, zoomed past Angeles and Raymond Zapanta in Game 2 with 229 pin falls and struggled again in Game 3 with 229 pin falls against Percy Omechelang’s 235.

Talavera took the big break in Game 4 garnering 232 pin falls against Omechelang’s 184.

Also making to top five was Zapanta Russel who garnered 650 pin falls.

Chong was also in the second place in the opening game scoring 164 against Emi William’s 170 pin falls.

She topped in Game 2 with 186 pin falls, slid back to second with her 154 in Game 3 then, came back in Game 4 with 186 pin falls.

Also making it to top five in the women’s division were Gigi Zapanta, with 592 pin falls; Carol McKenzie and Cora Muna who tied in 587 pin falls.
