Marpac donates $25,000 to 2022 Pacific Mini Games

MARPAC Inc. on Tuesday showed its support for the 2022 Pacific Mini Games by donating $25,000 — $15,000 in cash and $10,000 in-kind —  to the Games Organizing Committee.

Committee Chairman Marco Peter, CEO Ben Babauta and committee members received the donation at the Marpac office  in Gualo Rai from Marpac General Manager Guy Pudney and Sales Manager James Lee.

“On behalf of the committee, the administration and our own government, we appreciate this kind contribution,” Peter told Marpac.

“It will go a long way in delivering the games — with only 23 days left, Marpac has stepped up to the plate  with this gift.”

CEO Ben Babauta said the games will be “very exciting as they will feature athletes from over 20 countries and territories.”

He added, “We expect 1,800 visitors — athletes, officials, media representatives and supporters of the games. All the venues are almost set and ready. And Marpac’s $25,000 donation will be put to good use.”

Pudney said he’s “glad we were able to give this donation.”

The CNMI will host the 2022 Pacific Mini Games from June 17 to 25.
