TEAM No Choice earned their first win in the 2023 Budweiser Belau Amateur Softball Association Open League by defeating Dat’s It, 20-15, on Sunday at the Dandan baseball field.
No Choice exploded right off the bat with nine of its 11 batters rounding the bases to establish early control.
But Dat’s It fought back and returned fire with TJ Cruz hitting a three-run homer in the bottom of the first inning and adding seven more by the end of the fourth.
After No Choice scored only one run in the top of the third, Dat’s It snatched the lead, 11-10.
However, Dat’s It failed to keep the fire burning while No Choice turned the tables in the top of the sixth inning with Eddie Demei and Jeff Isaac contributing a pair of three-run homers to regain the upper hand, 16-12.
Isaac then led a four-run onslaught in the seventh and final inning while Dat’s It fell short, scoring only three runs before settling for defeat, 15-20.
