Off-Road Duathlon & Trail Run postponed due to Covid-19 community spread

DUE to the ongoing community transmission of Covid-19 cases, the Triathlon Association of the CNMI said the Off-Road Duathlon & Trail Run set for Sunday, Nov. 14, has been postponed.

TRAC President Ricky Castro said a new  date will be announced later.

In the meantime, the last tryout for the NMI triathlon team that will participate in Pacific Mini Games 2022 will take place at Paupau Beach on  Nov. 27, 2021, Saturday, starting at 2:30 p.m.

Castro said the tryouts are open to triathletes who have met  the residency requirements and are  U.S. citizens.

As for NMI triathletes who are off-island, Castro said they must provide proof of participating in a sprint triathlon and  submit the official results in order to be considered for the local team.

The NMI team will compete in the Sprint Tri individual and Sprint Aquathlon (individual and mixed relay) events of the Pacific Mini Games 2022 that Saipan will host.
